SHREVEPORT POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Shreveport Police Department serves a 122 square-mile metropolitan area of northwest Louisiana with a culturally rich population of 200,000. The Police Department is an innovative and diverse organization with 625 dedicated, loyal, and brave members. They operate 13 districts from a $52 million operating budget while providing various disciplines of labor including: patrol division, S.W.A.T (Special Weapons and Tactics), C.R.U. (Community Response Unit), traffic enforcement, enhanced 911 communications, education bureau, homicide investigation, financial crimes unit and white collar crimes unit. Annually, the department responds to more than 100,000 calls for service.
