Shreveport, LA - Just before 10:30pm Shreveport Fire Department crews responded to the 600 block of Aero Drive for reports smoke and flames coming from the roof of a commercial building. Upon arrival engine 1 found flames coming from the rood of a building. Upon further inspection engine 1 updated units that the building was not on fire but a tower located behind the building was on fire. Additional units arriving on scene helped establish a water supply and stretch hand lines for engine 1. Power and gas utility companies were called to the scene as well as fire investigators. Most other companies were turned around and returned back to service leaving only a few units on scene with fire prevention and utilities. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported. Signal 51 units responded and served about one bag of rehab supplies.
